    Congratulations to our 2023 Silver Shield Recipents.

    At our open meeting on April 16th, we were honored to recognize the bravery and heroism of Police Officers Michael LaFauci, Shaun Sullivan, and Douglas Gaul from the 6th Precinct Anti-Crime Unit. Officer LaFauci was injured in the line of duty while pursuing a wanted subject who shot and injured him.

    R.I.P. Police Officer Joseph McKinney

    The Suffolk PBA sends its deepest condolences to the members of the Memphis Police Department, and to the family and friends of Police Officer Joseph McKinney who was shot and killed while on duty early this morning. More needs to be done to protect our officers.

    Squatting in someone's home should not be a "civil matter".

    Squatting in someone's home should not be a "civil matter". Senator Mario R. Mattera bill would allow police officers to remove people who enter and remain in homes illegally. Property owners need to be treated fairly. It's time to address this issue.

    The pre-tax benefit plan allows you to take advantage of tax savings on unreimbursed medical expenses, childcare, and adoption assistance. The amount of money you elect to put into the plan will be divided over twenty-five pay periods and taken from your check pre-tax similarly to your deferred compensation.  You may then submit for reimbursement for eligible expenses.   This is a great way to save.
