On July 14th, we honored the memory of Deputy Chief Alfred Kohler of the Suffolk County Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty on this day in 1963.
Deputy Chief Kohler served with pride and left a lasting legacy of dedication to public service—one that lived on through his son, who also joined the SCPD.
On this solemn anniversary, the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association remembers Deputy Chief Kohler and his enduring impact on our department and our members. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.
