Mourning the loss of Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson

Yesterday, we mourned the loss of Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson, who was killed in the line of duty while serving an arrest warrant in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Deputy Marshal Hanson was fatally shot while helping apprehend a wanted fugitive. He served six years with the U.S. Marshals Service and previously served with the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and several Mississippi law enforcement agencies.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
The Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who served alongside him. May his service and sacrifice never be forgotten.
