MASTIC BEACH MAN INDICTED FOR POSSESSING UNSERIALIZED FIREARMS

Ronald Benini, a 49-year-old from Mastic Beach, was indicted for possessing six unserialized firearms, high-capacity magazines, and lower receivers. He allegedly manufactured ghost guns using 3D printers in his home between April and July 2026. Law enforcement recovered the firearms, 3D-printed parts, printer equipment, manuals, magazines, and a homemade silencer during a search warrant. Benini faces multiple charges of weapon possession and could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He was arraigned and is held on bail, with a court appearance scheduled for August 18, 2026.
