Marine Bureau Officers Rescue Father and Two Children After Jet Ski Capsizes
Quick action by Suffolk County Police Marine Bureau officers helped prevent a tragedy on the Great South Bay Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 3:55 p.m., a father and his two children were thrown into the water after their jet ski struck a wave and capsized.
Responding to a 911 call, Marine Bureau Officers Keith Miller and Robert King aboard Marine Juliet, along with Officers Gary Quenzer and Chad Murray aboard Marine Mike, quickly arrived on scene. The officers deployed life rings and safely rescued all three individuals from the water.
Fortunately, the father and both children were wearing life jackets and were not injured.
