GUATEMALAN NATIONAL PLEADS GUILTY TO SELLING THC GUMMIES THAT HOSPITALIZED A DOZEN WILLIAM FLOYD MIDDLE SCHOOLERS

Wilmer Castillo Garcia, a 23-year-old Guatemalan national, pleaded guilty to selling THC gummies that caused over a dozen William Floyd Middle School students to be hospitalized, as well as selling cocaine and marijuana to undercover officers. He was caught attempting to leave the U.S. for Canada but was apprehended and brought back to face charges. Castillo Garcia is expected to be sentenced to two years in prison, with ICE holding a detainer for his future removal.
