A Selden man, 68, has been found guilty by a jury of multiple counts of sexual abuse against three of his children over a 13-year period, from 1997 to 2010. The children, who were between the ages of seven and 13 during the abuse, were unable to report it at the time out of fear of being separated from their family. The jury convicted the defendant on November 25, 2024, of several charges, including Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. He faces a potential sentence of up to 57 years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender. Sentencing is scheduled for January 7, 2025. The case was prosecuted by the Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Bureau, and the investigation was handled by the Suffolk County Police Department’s Special Victims Section.
