- Gary Cowell, a 72-year-old man from Patchogue, pleaded guilty to charges involving the dismemberment and concealment of Yvette Leonard's body after her overdose.
- Cody B. Fisher, a 29-year-old from Brentwood, has been indicted for Assault on a Police Officer and multiple related offenses after allegedly crashing into a Suffolk County police vehicle while impaired by alcohol and marijuana.
- Daniel Fier, a 40-year-old former attorney from Patchogue, has been indicted for allegedly stealing around $70,000 from clients through real estate transactions.
- A 68-year-old man from Selden, New York, was sentenced to 32 to 57 years in prison for subjecting his three children to 13 years of sexual abuse.

- Tavion Elting, an 18-year-old from East Patchogue, has been indicted on felony weapons charges after a brawl at Smith Haven Mall during Black Friday shopping on November 29, 2024.
- Freddie Rice, a 34-year-old man from Bay Shore, was indicted for sex trafficking, accused of coercing three women into engaging in sexual acts for money through physical force and drug manipulation.

The Suffolk County PBA stands with Officer Brendon Gallagher one of our PBA delegates after yet another life-threatening incident in the line of duty. Despite surviving a violent stabbing two years ago, Officer Gallagher returned to serve, embodying true bravery and sacrifice. Tragically, his dedication was met with a reckless crash caused by a suspect fleeing under the influence on the Long Island Expressway.

This incident highlights the urgent need for stronger laws, and we are calling on Albany to take immediate action in New York State to make this happen.

Our prayers are with Officer Gallagher for a full recovery.
