NYC ADMINISTRATION FOR CHILDREN’S SERVICES EMPLOYEE SENTENCED TO 10 MONTHS IN JAIL FOR SUBMITTING FORGED DOCTOR’S NOTES
Feb 03, 2025

Alan Anderson, a 60-year-old employee of the New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS), was sentenced to 10 months in jail for submitting 12 forged doctor's notes to his employer in order to avoid attending work. The investigation, a joint effort by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and the New York City Department of Investigation, revealed that Anderson submitted the forged notes, which all conveniently coincided with his scheduled in-person office days, but not his remote workdays. Anderson pleaded guilty to Official Misconduct and received a 10-month jail sentence. This case highlights the importance of public accountability and the consequences of public corruption.
