NYC’s ‘worst drug dealer,’ 20, busted again with crack cocaine, heroin
Feb 26, 2025

Brandon Hunter, a 20-year-old frequently referred to as New York City's "worst drug dealer," was arrested again on February 5, 2025, marking his 20th arrest in two years. He was apprehended in Midtown Manhattan with crack cocaine, heroin, and MDMA after allegedly dealing from the same location multiple times. During the arrest, Hunter attempted to flee from police, discarding a backpack that contained additional drugs and cash.

Despite the serious charges, Hunter was released shortly after being arrested due to New York's bail reform laws, which deem some drug offenses non-bail eligible. This incident makes it the third time Hunter has been arrested at this particular spot. Previously, he served nine months in Rikers Island for a similar offense but was released early, only to be re-arrested shortly after. Law enforcement and prosecutors have expressed frustration with the revolving door nature of the justice system, as Hunter continues to return to the streets despite his extensive criminal record.
