It was an honor and a privilege to represent Suffolk County Law Enforcement at this historic event. I am thankful to Congressman Nick LaLota for inviting me as his guest. Just as President Trump is fighting for our Country, Congressman Lalota is fighting for Long Island. Both men share a deep commitment to freeing our communities from violent crime. This commitment was on display last night when President Trump remembered NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller who was violently murdered in the line of duty. After honoring Officer Diller's widow Stephanie, President Trump stated he signed an Executive Order that mandates the death penalty for Cop killers.
Also in attendance was the family of Laken Riley, who was brutally murdered by a member of the Tren De Aragua gang, the family of 12 year old Joselyn Nungary who was strangled to death by two illegal immigrants and D.J. Daniel, a young cancer survivor who wants to be a police officer. Each received a standing ovation. Disgracefully it came from only the Republican side of the aisle.
I was also able to chat with Speaker Mike Johnson who expressed his support for our law enforcement officers and Long Islanders.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity to meet our nation's leaders and to hear firsthand President Trump's vision for a safer and more prosperous America! #MAGA #Backtheblue
