VIRGINIA WOMAN INDICTED IN CRASH THAT KILLED PEDESTRIAN IN HAMPTON BAYS

Amanda Kempton, 32, of Virginia, was indicted for leaving the scene after striking and killing pedestrian Sara Burack in Hampton Bays in June. Kempton allegedly fled the scene without helping Burack, tried to remove her suitcase from under her car, and discarded it in a dumpster. She was arraigned and is held on bail; her case is scheduled for court in November 2025, facing up to 7 years if convicted.
