Oral Durloo and Brandon Nairne, both 31, were arrested for scamming a 92-year-old Suffolk County resident out of approximately $257,000 by falsely claiming he had won an $18 million sweepstakes and convincing him to pay taxes and fees. The scheme involved multiple visits to the victim’s home and bank to collect money. They were arraigned on charges of grand larceny and are scheduled for court appearances in February 2026. The investigation was a joint effort by Suffolk County law enforcement and prosecutors, aiming to protect seniors from fraud.
