Jeremy Allen of East Quogue was sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted of murdering his longtime friend, Christopher Hahn, in September 2024. The trial revealed that Allen brutally assaulted Hahn, dragged him onto his deck, and then murdered him with a knife while watching him struggle to breathe. After the killing, Allen attempted to clean the scene and hide evidence. He was arrested shortly after and convicted in January 2026. The judge sentenced him to life imprisonment in February 2026.
