BRAZILIAN MAN INDICTED FOR MURDERING ESTRANGED WIFE AT HER FARMINGVILLE HOME

Marcos Marques-Leal, a Brazilian man, was indicted for the murder of his estranged wife, Adriana Barbosa, at her Farmingville home. He allegedly broke into the house, despite an order of protection, and stabbed Barbosa multiple times in front of their 16-year-old daughter, who was injured trying to protect her mother. After the attack, Marques-Leal stabbed himself. He was arraigned on charges including second-degree murder and is held without bail. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
