We honor Officer Burkhardt’s dedication and sacrifice

Yesterday, the Suffolk County PBA remembers Police Officer Jack Burkhardt, who succumbed to injuries on this day after being critically injured in the line of duty while protecting the residents of Suffolk County.
Officer Burkhardt responded to a burglary call at a shopping center in Mastic where he and his partner were assigned to investigate the area. During the incident, Officer Burkhardt fell from the roof of the building and was rushed to the hospital. Despite the efforts to save him, he passed away five days later.
We honor Officer Burkhardt’s dedication and sacrifice, and we keep his family, friends, and fellow officers in our thoughts today and always. His service to Suffolk County will never be forgotten.
