Megan Marchena, a 27-year-old woman from Massapequa, was indicted for assaulting and endangering children while working as a daycare teacher in Lindenhurst. She allegedly injured a 17-month-old girl by forcefully pushing her face into a cot, causing a mouth injury that required stitches. The incident was caught on video. Marchena is also accused of inappropriate behavior with other children, including dropping an 18-month-old from standing height. She was arrested and arraigned on multiple charges, facing up to seven years in prison if convicted. Authorities are urging parents to report any concerns about their children.
