SAYVILLE MAN SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS FOR ROBBERY SPREE OF LIQUOR AND CONVENIENCE STORES

Michael Perko of Sayville was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a spree of armed robberies at liquor and convenience stores in Holtsville and Huntington Station in November 2025. He pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and related charges. Perko committed multiple robberies, threatening employees with a rifle, but left empty-handed each time. He was arrested on November 12, 2025, and recovered evidence from his vehicle. The sentence also includes five years of post-release supervision. The case was prosecuted by the Suffolk County DA’s Office.
