PATCHOGUE MAN FOUND GUILTY AFTER TRIAL OF PREDATORY SEXUAL ASSAULT

Gary Conyers, 59, of Patchogue, was found guilty after a jury trial of predatory sexual assault and related charges for forcing six women to perform oral sex at knife point between October and December 2023. The victims, who were addicted to crack-cocaine and in poverty, were lured with promises of drugs, money, and showers before being assaulted with a knife, with some victims injured or strangled. Conyers faces up to life in prison and is scheduled for sentencing in April 2026.
