GUATEMALAN NATIONAL INDICTED FOR RAPING A FIVE- YEAR-OLD CAUSING SERIOUS INTERNAL INJURIES REQUIRING SURGERY

Carlos Aguilar Reynoso, a 27-year-old Guatemalan national, was indicted for the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl in Suffolk County. The child was hospitalized with serious injuries requiring surgery. Due to New York’s Bail Reform and Protect Our Courts laws, Reynoso was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket to allow ICE to arrest him for immigration violations. DNA evidence confirmed his involvement. Reynoso faces multiple charges, including predatory sexual assault and rape, and is held without bail. He is scheduled for court appearances in April 2026.
