THREE GUATEMALAN NATIONALS EACH SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS IN PRISON FOR FARMINGDALE KILLING

Gustavo Hernandez, Walter Ramirez Jeronimo, and Wilson Ramirez Jeronimo, all Guatemalan nationals, were each sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter for the kidnapping and killing of Juan Carlos Diaz Jeronimo in 2024. The victim was abducted in broad daylight after being attacked and forced into an SUV, then driven to Belmont Lake State Park and later dumped on a street in Farmingdale. The victim suffered fatal injuries, including neck compression, severe blunt force trauma, and a stab wound. All three defendants are illegally in the U.S., having previously been deported or ordered removed. They were sentenced in early 2026, with the case prosecuted by Suffolk County DA’s Office.
