FARMINGVILLE MAN FOUND GUILTY OF SEX TRAFFICKING

Mitchell Johnson, 38, of Farmingville, was found guilty after a jury trial of sex trafficking and related charges for coercing a woman into sex acts using violence, deception, and drugs. Beginning in March 2023, Johnson manipulated and controlled the victim, providing her with crack cocaine and threatening her and her family to ensure compliance. He was convicted of multiple felony counts, including sex trafficking by force, and faces up to 25 years in prison. Johnson is scheduled for sentencing on April 29, 2026.
