FOUR BRONX MEN INDICTED FOR CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS AND CAUSING SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY TO A POLICE OFFICER

Four Bronx men—Henry Cruz, Luis Acosta, Jeorge Santana Sanchez, and Madinson Silverio Ventura—were indicted for catalytic converter thefts in Lindenhurst and for causing serious injury to a Suffolk County police officer during a pursuit. The suspects, driving a Maserati, targeted parked vehicles, removed catalytic converters, and fled from police at high speeds. During the chase, a police officer was injured when he fell and fractured his ankle. The suspects face multiple charges, including assault on a police officer, and could face up to 15 years in prison. They are scheduled for court appearances in May 2026.
