NORTH CAROLINA WOMAN INDICTED FOR MURDER OF 52-YEAR-OLD HOLTSVILLE MALE

Dynasty Sanders, 21, of North Carolina, was indicted for the murder of Stephen McCoy, 52, of Holtsville. Sanders allegedly broke into McCoy’s home, shot him in the head during a struggle over money, and fled to North Carolina. McCoy was hospitalized but died in January 2026 from complications related to the gunshot wound. Sanders faces charges including second-degree murder and burglary and is held without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 28, 2026, and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
