FORMER JERICHO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTA TREASURER ARRESTED FOR GRAND LARCENY

Jodi Scarlatos, 43, of Centereach, was arrested and arraigned for stealing over $50,000 from the Jericho Elementary School PTA while serving as treasurer from July 2020 to September 2023. She allegedly used PTA funds for personal expenses and made unauthorized transactions, including cash withdrawals. Scarlatos faces charges of grand larceny and could face 5 to 15 years in prison if convicted. She was released without bail and is scheduled for court in May 2026.
