Miguel Enrique Diaz, 49, of Bay Shore, was sentenced to 16 years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl between December 2022 and October 2023. Diaz, who worked as an Uber and school bus driver, was arrested in March 2024 after the victim disclosed the abuse. He is also required to register as a sex offender. The case highlights the importance of victim support and accountability.
