UNLICENSED DENTIST AND TWO OTHERS INDICTED IN CONTRACT KILLING OF HUNTINGTON STATION MAN

Yolani Mejia Carranza, 56, Daniel Kersey, 35, and Aldo Esmizadeh, 70, all of Huntington Station, were indicted for their roles in the 2022 contract killing of Byron Martinez. Mejia Carranza allegedly hired Kersey to murder Martinez to prevent him and his mother from reporting her unlicensed dental practice, which caused her to face charges for practicing dentistry without a license. Kersey and Esmizadeh face multiple charges, including murder and conspiracy, with Kersey also facing weapons and sex trafficking charges. All three are held pending court dates, and the case involves serious allegations of violence, illegal dental practices, and organized crime.
