PATCHOGUE MAN INDICTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND’S SON

Robert Schreiber, 42, of Patchogue, was indicted for attempted murder and burglary after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and stabbing her 22-year-old son multiple times. The attack occurred when Schreiber entered through a window while everyone was asleep. The victim was hospitalized, and Schreiber was found at the scene with the knife. He faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, and is held on bail. He is scheduled to return to court in May 2026.
