NORTH BELLPORT MAN INDICTED FOR LEAVING THE SCENE OF A CRASH THAT KILLED PEDESTRIAN

Andrew Holmes-Garriques, 27, of North Bellport, was indicted for leaving the scene of a fatal crash after allegedly hitting and killing pedestrian Korey Klein in Bayshore while driving with a suspended license and under the influence of marijuana. He fled the scene but returned hours later, at which point he was arrested for impaired driving. Holmes-Garriques faces multiple charges and is held on bail. His court date is scheduled for June 2026.
