ECUADORIAN NATIONAL INDICTED FOR KIDNAPPING A FOUR-YEAR-OLD CHILD FROM LAUNDROMAT

Carlos Corte, an Ecuadorian national, was indicted for kidnapping a four-year-old girl from a laundromat in Patchogue. He approached the child, took her outside, and brought her to a library, where she was found with him after her mother reported her missing. Corte was arrested, released with GPS monitoring, but was later detained by ICE for illegal entry into the U.S. He faces serious charges, including kidnapping, and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
