Patricia Sparby, a 66-year-old West Islip woman, was arrested for stealing over $300,000 from her West Babylon employer by manipulating payroll records. She allegedly inflated her pay between January 2019 and August 2024. Sparby was arraigned on June 19, 2026, on a second-degree grand larceny charge and is scheduled to return to court on June 9, 2026. If convicted, she faces 5 to 15 years in prison.
