Keyonna Waddell, a 35-year-old from Deer Park, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for throwing an explosive device at her boyfriend’s bedroom, which caused him to lose his hand. She was convicted in April of first-degree assault and weapon possession after a jury trial. The incident occurred in March 2024 during an argument, and Waddell had threatened the victim with dynamite beforehand. She was arrested the day after the attack and sentenced in May 2026.
