HUNTINGTON STATION MAN INDICTED FOR UNLAWFULLY POSSESSING ILLEGAL FIREARMS

Matthew Hibner, 36, of Huntington Station, was indicted for illegally possessing multiple firearms, including unlicensed rifles, a revolver, and large-capacity magazines. Law enforcement found these weapons, some without serial numbers, during a search of his residence. Hibner is charged with several felony counts and was remanded into custody; he faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled to return to court on July 9, 2026.
