Torrey Brown, 35, of Bay Shore, was indicted for sex trafficking after allegedly using violence, drugs, and threats to force a woman into commercial sex acts over several days. The incident began on March 30, 2026, when Brown took the victim to a motel, provided her with drugs, and coerced her into sex work to repay a debt. Brown reportedly restrained her, assaulted her, and threatened her with a knife. She managed to escape on April 5, 2026, and Brown was arrested. He faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking and attempted promoting prostitution, and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 31, 2026.
