DA TIERNEY SECURES ICE DETENTION OF FOUR-TIME FELONY DWI OFFENDER

Pablo Aguilar-Alvarez, a known four-time felony DWI offender and illegal immigrant, was detained by immigration authorities after being arrested for driving without a license in Riverhead shortly after his latest DWI conviction. Despite being released pending sentencing and ordered not to drive, he was found driving again and pulled over by Suffolk County detectives. Aguilar-Alvarez has a history of multiple DWI convictions, including a deportation in 2024. Federal ICE agents took him into custody following his recent arrest, and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office plans to bring him back for sentencing.
