The Suffolk County PBA mourns the line-of-duty death of Warm Springs Police Sergeant Chris Fisher, who was shot and killed while sitting in his patrol vehicle after completing a traffic stop.
The suspect fled the scene and was later located in South Carolina suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Sergeant Fisher had served with the Warm Springs Police Department for three months and previously served with the Meriwether County, Fayette County, and Heard County Sheriff’s Offices. He came from a law-enforcement family, with his father also having served in the profession.
Sergeant Fisher leaves behind his wife and two children. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Warm Springs community during this devastating time.
May Sergeant Chris Fisher rest in eternal peace. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
