Mark Ripolone, a 36-year-old businessman from Montauk, was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison for committing multiple counts of grand larceny. He pleaded guilty in October 2023, admitting to stealing nearly $400,000 from legitimate businesses and their customers over a three-year period. Specifically, he took about $225,000 from customers of "123 Delivery" by fraudulently obtaining their bank information to make unauthorized withdrawals for his personal expenses. Additionally, he stole $160,000 from a payroll company by rerouting funds intended for payroll to his own account.
Following his initial guilty plea, Ripolone failed to maintain restitution payments and was re-arrested in October 2024 for stealing wallets from gym patrons. He subsequently pleaded guilty to petit larceny in Westchester County and was given a 6-month jail sentence.
Ultimately, on December 2, 2024, Ripolone was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in state prison, with restitution orders totaling $113,379 for the victims he defrauded. The case was handled by Assistant District Attorney Donna M. Planty and involved local police departments.
