Today, we honor the memory of Sergeant James Hutchens, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on this day in 1992. Sergeant Hutchens was a respected leader who exemplified the integrity and commitment of the Suffolk County Police Department. The Suffolk County PBA stands with the community in remembering his service, sacrifice, and lasting legacy.
