BAY SHORE MAN INDICTED FOR SEX TRAFFICKING

Daniel Soto, 37, of Bay Shore, was indicted for sex trafficking and related charges for allegedly using violence, drugs, and manipulation to control a female victim and force her into commercial sex acts. The investigation revealed Soto arranged for clients to pay for sex with the victim while he took all proceeds, and he beat her or withheld drugs to maintain control. Soto was arrested after a joint law enforcement effort and is held on $500,000 bail, facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled for court in August 2025.
