Yeison Chavez Campos, a member of MS-13, was convicted of kidnapping, gang assault, and robbery for a brutal attack on a 15-year-old boy at the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in Brentwood. The victim was lured to a train station, robbed, assaulted, and stabbed in an abandoned building, but survived serious injuries. Chavez Campos is the last of seven co-defendants to be convicted; all have been sentenced or are awaiting sentencing. He faces up to 25 years in prison and will likely be deported after serving his sentence.
