HUNTINGTON STATION MAN INDICTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER OF A TEEN

Savion Jones, 22, of Huntington Station was indicted in Suffolk County for allegedly shooting and seriously injuring a 17-year-old at a party outside a West Babylon residence on August 15, 2025. The victim was hit with three gunshot wounds, including one that struck the femoral artery, but was saved thanks to quick police action and a tourniquet. Jones faces charges of Attempted Murder, Assault, and weapons possession, with a potential sentence of up to 25 years in prison. He was arraigned on September 2 and is held on a $1 million cash bail. The case is ongoing, with a court date set for October 6, 2025.
