SUFFOLK COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY RAY TIERNEY COMMEMORATES NATIONAL COLD CASE MONTH WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW CASES

In September, National Cold Case Month, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced the addition of three cold cases to the office’s website to help solve longstanding investigations. The cases include the 1978 murder of a woman known as "Montauk Mary," a 1990 shooting of an unidentified Hispanic man in Melville, and a 1998 discovery of skeletal remains near Brentwood, believed to be a teenage White or Hispanic male. The DA’s Office is offering up to $2,000 for information that can help identify the unknown victims. The public is encouraged to view the cases and share any relevant information via their website or contact email.
