BRENTWOOD MAN CHARGED AFTER INFANT SUFFERS FENTANYL POISONING WHILE IN HIS CARE

Henry Martinez, a 21-year-old from Brentwood, was charged after allegedly inhaling fentanyl near an eight-month-old baby, causing the child to suffer fentanyl poisoning. The infant required emergency Narcan treatment and was revived. Investigators found fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in Martinez's home. He faces charges including assault and child endangerment and was released on supervised release instead of bail. He is scheduled to return to court in late November and could face up to 7 years in prison if convicted.
