LINDENHURST MAN INDICTED FOR MURDER OF A CVS EMPLOYEE ON CHRISTMAS DAY

John Pilaccio, 43, of Lindenhurst, was indicted for the first-degree murder of Edeedson Cine, Jr., a CVS employee, who was stabbed to death on Christmas Day. Pilaccio allegedly entered the store, approached Cine with a knife, and attacked him before fleeing. Cine was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead from multiple stab wounds. Pilaccio was arrested the next day and is currently remanded without bail. He faces up to life in prison without parole and is scheduled to appear in court again on February 23, 2026.
