DISTRICT ATTORNEY RAYMOND A. TIERNEY ANNOUNCES INDICTMENT OF NINE ALLEGED MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATES OF “LOWNDES BLOCK GANG” CHARGING TWO MURDERS, MULTIPLE NON-FATAL SHOOTINGS, AND SEX TRAFFICKING
Jan 28, 2026

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with law enforcement, indicted nine members and associates of the Lowndes Block Gang, a violent street gang linked to Huntington Station. The indictment includes charges of two murders, multiple non-fatal shootings, possession of illegal weapons, and sex trafficking used to fund the gang. Notably, the gang’s leader, Marques Scott, allegedly ordered a 14-year-old to kill Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez in 2021. The investigation, which spanned several years, uncovered extensive violence including murders, shootings, and drug trafficking. Several defendants face serious charges, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, and assault, with some remanded or held on high bail. The case underscores ongoing efforts to combat gang violence in Suffolk County.
