On behalf of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, we send our prayers over to Officer Tim Thrane and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.
On November 2nd, Officer Thrane responded to a motor vehicle collision on the William Floyd Parkway when, without a warning, a speeding vehicle struck Officer Thrane, pinning him underneath his patrol vehicle. He was rescued and rushed to a nearby trauma center via helicopter and the driver of the vehicle was later arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Tim sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed into surgery to stop a large brain bleed amongst other major injuries but luckily, doctors were able to stabilize the bleed to save his life.
We kindly ask to help Officer Thrane and his family in their time of need by donating to this fundraiser set up by Law Enforcement Officers Weekend, where all proceeds go directly to the Thrane family.
Tim has always given his all to help protect others, it’s now our turn to help Tim.
