FAMILY OF OFFICER AND COPS RENEW CALL TO FIND COP KILLER
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY: Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association President Noel DiGerolamo and the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association honored the legacy of Police Detective Dennis Wustenhoff, who was murdered in the line of duty. Wustenhoff’s killer remains at-large and no one has been brought to justice in the over-three-decades-long cold case.
The Wustenhoff Family and the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association have renewed calls to find the suspect and have enhanced the reward for the killer’s arrest with the assistance of a private donor. Now, with the addition of $10,000 from CrimeStoppers, the reward has been increased to $30,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the cop-killer.
The following statement has been released by Suffolk Police Benevolent Association President Noel DiGerolamo:
“Anyone who harms a member of law enforcement deserves to be brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Officer Wustenhoff’s family deserves justice and has been awaiting this justice for over thirty years. I call on anyone with information at all to come forward. This family deserves closure, and anyone found withholding information is part of the criminal enterprise that led to the death of a father and a husband,” said DiGerolamo.
