On May 30th, we remember the life and legacy of Suffolk County Police Officer Carmelo Cattano who was killed in the line of duty on this day in 1963. When returning to the 2nd Precinct from special parade duty for Memorial Day, Officer Cattano was involved in a motor vehicle accident that took his life. Suffolk County will forever be grateful for his service and sacrifice - and We Will Never Forget.
