Great Job, Police Officers Stroehlein and Montero

|
On August 17th, Suffolk County Police Officers Michael Stroehlein and Diego Montero of the First Precinct responded to a 911 call at an Amityville residence, where they found Stefanie Andrade, 33, in labor in her apartment bathroom.
Officers Stroehlein and Montero quickly stepped in and assisted Stefanie in delivering a healthy baby girl. Their resourcefulness came into play as they even used a shoelace to tie off the umbilical cord until EMTs arrived. Both mother and newborn, named Callie, were subsequently transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, and they are in good condition.
Instances like these highlight the incredible dedication and compassion our police officers bring to our communities. It's reassuring to know these officers were there when the situation demanded, reaffirming their role as everyday heroes.
