The PBA remembers the life and legacy of Police Officer Craig L. Capolino, who died on January 30, 2013, of 9/11-related cancer. Officer Capolino began his career in the NYPD, where he responded to the World Trade Center after the fall of the second tower. Being an NYPD Detective, he was tasked with searching for human remains and criminal evidence in the debris from Ground Zero. He was diagnosed with cancer in January 2012 and would succumb to it just one year later. Our thoughts are with his wife and three daughters today and every day.
